Psalm 103 Benedic, anima mea
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul, *
and all that is within me, bless her ho-ly Name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, *
and forget not all her ben-efits.
3 She forgives all your sins *
and heals all your in-firm-ities;
4 She redeems your life from the grave *
and crowns you with mercy and lov-ing-kind-ness;
5 She satisfies you with good things, *
and your youth is renewed like an ea-gle’s.
6 The LORD exe-cutes right-eousness *
and judgment for all who are op-pressed.
7 She made her ways known to Mo-ses *
and her works to the chil-dren of Is-rael.
8 The LORD is full of compassion and mer-cy, *
slow to anger and of great kind-ness.
9 She will not always ac-cuse us, *
nor will she keep her an-ger for e-ver.
10 She has not dealt with us according to our sins, *
nor rewarded us according to our wic-kedness.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, *
so is her mercy great upon those who fear her.
12 As far as the east is from the west, *
so far has she re-moved our sins from us.
13 As a mother cares for her chil-dren, *
so does the LORD care for those who fear her.
14 For she herself knows whereof we are made; *
she remembers that we are but dust.
15 Our days are like the grass ; *
we flourish like a flower of the field;
16 When the wind goes over it, it is gone, *
and its place shall know it no more.
17 But the merciful goodness of the LORD endures for ever on those who fear her, *
and her righteousness on chil-dren’s chil-dren;
18 On those who keep her co-venant *
and remember her command-ments and do them.
19 The LORD has set her throne in hea-ven, *
and her kingship has dominion ov-er all.
20 Bless the LORD, you angels of hers, you mighty ones who do her bid-ding, *
and hearken to the voice of her word.
21 Bless the LORD, all you her hosts, *
you ministers of hers who do her will.
22 Bless the LORD, all you works of hers, in all places of her do-min-ion; *
bless the LORD, O my soul.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Ho-ly Spir-it: *
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ev-er. A-men.
