Psalm 59<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Eripe me de inimicis<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n

1 Rescue me from my enemies, O God;<\/span> *
\n<\/span>protect me from those who rise up a<\/span>-gainst me. <\/span><\/p>\n

2 Rescue me from evil-do<\/span>-ers *
\nand save me from those who thirst for<\/span> my blood. <\/span><\/p>\n

3 See how they lie in wait for my life, how the mighty gather together a-gainst<\/span> me; *
\nnot for any offense or fault of mine,<\/span> O LORD. <\/span><\/p>\n

4 Not because of any guilt of mine<\/span> *
\nthey run and prepare them-selves<\/span> for bat-tle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/p>\n

5 Rouse yourself, come to my side, and see;<\/span> *
\nfor you, LORD God of hosts, are Is<\/span>-rael’s God. <\/span><\/p>\n

6 Awake, and punish all the un-god<\/span>-ly; *
\nshow no mercy to those who are faith-less<\/span> and e-vil. <\/span><\/p>\n

7 They go to and fro in the eve<\/span>-ning; *
\nthey snarl like dogs and run a-bout<\/span> the ci-ty. <\/span><\/p>\n

8 Behold, they boast with their mouths, and taunts are on their lips;<\/span> *
\n“For who,” they say,<\/span> “will hear us?”<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/p>\n

9 But you, O LORD, you laugh<\/span> at them<\/span>; *
\nyou laugh all the ungod-<\/span>ly<\/span> to scorn. <\/span><\/p>\n

10 My eyes are fixed on you, O my Strength;<\/span> *
\nfor you, O God, are<\/span> my strong-hold. <\/span><\/p>\n

11 My merciful God comes to meet<\/span> me; *
\nGod will let me look in triumph on<\/span> my en-emies. <\/span><\/p>\n

12 Slay them, O God, lest my people for-get<\/span>; *
\nsend them reeling by your might and put them down, O Lord<\/span> our shield.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, for the cursing and lies that they ut<\/span>-ter, *
\nlet them be caught in<\/span> their pride. <\/span><\/p>\n

14 Make an end of them in your wrath;<\/span> *
\nmake an end of them, and they shall be<\/span> no more. <\/span><\/p>\n

15 Let everyone know that God rules in Ja<\/span>-cob, *
\nand to the ends of<\/span> the earth. <\/span><\/p>\n

16 They go to and fro in the eve<\/span>-ning; *
\nthey snarl like dogs and run a-bout<\/span> the ci-ty.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 They forage for food,<\/span> *
\nand if they are not filled,<\/span> they howl. <\/span><\/p>\n

18 For my part, I will sing of your strength;<\/span> *
\nI will celebrate your love in<\/span> the morn-ing; <\/span><\/p>\n

19 For you have become my strong<\/span>-hold, *
\na refuge in the day of<\/span> my trou-ble. <\/span><\/p>\n

20 To you, O my Strength, will I sing;<\/span> *
\n<\/span>for you, O God, are my stronghold and my mer-ci<\/span>-ful God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy\u00a0Spir<\/span>-it: *<\/span>
\n as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for\u00a0ev<\/span>-er. A-men.<\/span><\/p>\n
