Psalm 37:19-42<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Novit Dominus<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

19 The LORD cares for the lives of the\u00a0god<\/span>-ly, *<\/span>
\nand their inheritance shall last\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 They shall not be ashamed in\u00a0bad\u00a0times<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nand in days of famine they shall have\u00a0e<\/span>-nough.<\/span><\/p>\n

21 As for the wicked, they shall\u00a0per<\/span>-ish, *<\/span>
\nand the enemies of the LORD,<\/span>\u00a0like the glory of the meadows, shall vanish;<\/span>\u00a0they shall vanish\u00a0like<\/span>\u00a0smoke.<\/span><\/p>\n

22 The wicked borrow and do\u00a0not\u00a0re-pay<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nbut the righteous are generous\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0giv-ing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

23 Those who are blessed by God shall possess\u00a0the\u00a0land<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nbut those who are cursed by her shall be\u00a0de<\/span>-stroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 Our steps are directed by the\u00a0LORD<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nshe strengthens those in whose way she\u00a0de<\/span>-lights.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 If they stumble, they shall not fall\u00a0head<\/span>-long, *<\/span>
\nfor the LORD holds them by\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 I have been young and now I am\u00a0old<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nbut never have I seen the righteous forsaken,<\/span>\u00a0or their children beg-ging<\/span>\u00a0bread.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

27 The righteous are always generous in their\u00a0lend<\/span>-ing, *<\/span>
\nand their children shall be\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0bles-sing.<\/span><\/p>\n

28 Turn from evil, and do\u00a0good<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nand dwell in the land for<\/span>\u00a0ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

29 For the LORD loves\u00a0jus<\/span>-tice; *<\/span>
\nshe does not forsake\u00a0her<\/span>\u00a0faith-ful ones<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

30 They shall be kept safe for\u00a0ev<\/span>-er, *<\/span>
\nbut the offspring of the wicked shall be\u00a0des<\/span>-troyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

31 The righteous shall possess\u00a0the\u00a0land<\/span>\u00a0*<\/span>
\nand dwell in it\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

32 The mouth of the righteous utters\u00a0wis<\/span>-dom, *<\/span>
\nand their tongue speaks what\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0right.<\/span><\/p>\n

33 The law of their God is in their\u00a0heart<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nand their footsteps shall\u00a0not<\/span>\u00a0fal-ter.<\/span><\/p>\n

34 The wicked spy on the\u00a0right<\/span>-eous *<\/span>
\nand seek occasion\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0kill them.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

35 The LORD will not abandon them to their\u00a0hand<\/span>, *<\/span>
\nnor let them be found guilty when brought\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0tri-al.<\/span><\/p>\n

36 Wait upon the LORD and\u00a0keep\u00a0her\u00a0way<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nshe will raise you up to possess the land,<\/span>\u00a0and when the wicked are cut off, you\u00a0will<\/span>\u00a0see it.<\/span><\/p>\n

37 I have seen the wicked in their\u00a0ar<\/span>-rogance, *<\/span>
\nflourishing like a tree in\u00a0full<\/span>\u00a0leaf.<\/span><\/p>\n

38 I went by, and behold, they were\u00a0not\u00a0there<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nI searched for them, but they could\u00a0not<\/span>\u00a0be found.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

39 Mark those who are honest;<\/span>\u00a0observe the\u00a0up<\/span>-right; *<\/span>
\nfor there is a future for\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0peace-able.<\/span><\/p>\n

40 Transgressors shall be destroyed,\u00a0one\u00a0and\u00a0all<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nthe future of the wicked is\u00a0cut<\/span>\u00a0off.<\/span><\/p>\n

41 But the deliverance of the righteous comes from the\u00a0LORD<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nshe is their stronghold in time\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0trou-ble.<\/span><\/p>\n

42 The LORD will help them and\u00a0res<\/span>–cue them<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nshe will rescue them from the wicked and deliver them,<\/span>\u00a0because they seek refuge\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy\u00a0Spir<\/span>-it: *<\/span>
