Psalm 89:1-29<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Misericordias Domini<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 Your love, O LORD, for ever will\u00a0I<\/span>\u00a0sing; *<\/span>
\nfrom age to age my mouth will pro-claim<\/span>\u00a0your faith-fulness.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 For I am persuaded that your love is established\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0e-ver; *<\/span>
\nyou have set your faithfulness firmly\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0the hea-vens.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 “I have made a covenant with\u00a0my<\/span>\u00a0cho-sen one<\/span>; *<\/span>
\nI have sworn an oath to Da-vid<\/span>\u00a0my ser-vant:<\/span><\/p>\n

4 ‘I will establish your line\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0e-ver, *<\/span>
\nand preserve your throne for all\u00a0gen<\/span>-er-a-tions.'”<\/span><\/p>\n

5 The heavens bear witness to your wonders,\u00a0O<\/span>\u00a0LORD, *<\/span>
\nand to your faithfulness in the assembly\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the ho-ly ones<\/span>;<\/span><\/p>\n

6 For who in the skies can be compared to\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0LORD? *<\/span>
\nwho is like the LORD a-mong<\/span>\u00a0the gods?<\/span><\/p>\n

7 God is much to be feared in the council of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0ho-ly ones<\/span>, *<\/span>
\ngreat and terrible to all those\u00a0round<\/span>\u00a0a-bout her.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 Who is like you, LORD God\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0hosts? *<\/span>
\nO mighty LORD, your faithfulness is\u00a0all<\/span>\u00a0a-round you.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 You rule the raging of\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0sea *<\/span>

\nyou have scattered your enemies with your\u00a0migh<\/span>-ty arm.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 Yours are the heavens; the earth also\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0yours; *<\/span>
\nyou laid the foundations of the world and all\u00a0that<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0in it.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 You have made the north and\u00a0the<\/span>\u00a0south; *<\/span>
\nTabor and Hermon rejoice\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0your Name.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 You have a migh-ty<\/span>\u00a0arm; *<\/span>
\nstrong is your hand and high is\u00a0your<\/span>\u00a0right hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundations of\u00a0your<\/span>\u00a0throne; *<\/span>
\nlove and truth go be-fore<\/span>\u00a0your face.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 Happy are the people who know the fes-tal<\/span>\u00a0shout! *<\/span>
\nthey walk, O LORD, in the light\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0your pre-sence.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 They rejoice daily in\u00a0your<\/span>\u00a0Name; *<\/span>
\nthey are jubilant\u00a0in<\/span>\u00a0your right-eousness.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 For you are the glory of\u00a0their<\/span>\u00a0strength, *<\/span>
\nand by your favor our might\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0ex-al-ted.<\/span><\/p>\n

18 Truly, the LORD is\u00a0our<\/span>\u00a0rul-er; *<\/span>
\nThe Holy One of Israel\u00a0is<\/span>\u00a0our King.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 You spoke once in a vision and said to your faith-ful<\/span>\u00a0peo-ple: *<\/span>
\n“I have set the crown upon a warrior<\/span>\u00a0and have exalted one chosen out\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0the peo-ple.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 I have found David\u00a0my<\/span>\u00a0ser-vant; *<\/span>
\nwith my holy oil have\u00a0I<\/span>\u00a0a-nointed him.<\/span><\/p>\n

21 My hand will hold\u00a0him<\/span>\u00a0fast *<\/span>
\nand my arm will\u00a0make<\/span>\u00a0him strong.<\/span><\/p>\n

22 No enemy shall\u00a0de<\/span>-ceive him, *<\/span>
\nnor any wicked man bring<\/span>\u00a0him\u00a0down.<\/span><\/p>\n

23 I will crush his foes\u00a0be<\/span>-fore him *<\/span>
\nand strike down those<\/span>\u00a0who\u00a0hate him.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 My faithfulness and love shall\u00a0be<\/span>\u00a0with him, *<\/span>
\nand he shall be victorious through<\/span>\u00a0my\u00a0Name.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 I shall make his dominion\u00a0ex<\/span>-tend *<\/span>
\nfrom the Great Sea to<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0Ri-ver.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 He will say to me, ‘You are\u00a0my<\/span>\u00a0Mo-ther, *<\/span>
\nmy God, and the rock of my<\/span>\u00a0sal-va-tion.’<\/span><\/p>\n

27 I will make him\u00a0my<\/span>\u00a0first-born *<\/span>
\nand higher than the kings of<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nand my covenant will stand firm<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0him.<\/span><\/p>\n

29 I will establish his line\u00a0for<\/span>\u00a0e-ver *<\/span>

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Ho-ly<\/span>\u00a0Spir-it: *<\/span>
