Psalm 116<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Dilexi, quoniam<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 I love the LORD, because she has heard the voice of my sup-pli<\/span>-ca-tion, *<\/span>
\n because she has inclined her ear to me whenever I called<\/span> up-on her.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 The cords of death entangled me;<\/span>\u00a0the grip of the grave took hold of<\/span> me; *<\/span>
\n I came to grief<\/span> and sor-row.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 Then I called upon the Name of the<\/span> LORD: *<\/span>
\n “O LORD, I pray you, save<\/span> my life.”<\/span><\/p>\n

4 Gracious is the LORD and<\/span> right-eous; *<\/span>
\n our God is full of<\/span> com-pas-sion.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 The LORD watches over the<\/span> in-nocent; *<\/span>
\n I was brought very low, and<\/span>\u00a0she helped me.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 Turn again to your rest, O<\/span> my soul<\/u>. *<\/span>
\n for the LORD has trea-ted<\/span> you well.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 For you have rescued my life from<\/span> death, *<\/span>
\n my eyes from tears, and my feet<\/span> from stum-bling.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 I will walk in the presence of the<\/span> LORD *<\/span>
\n in the land of<\/span> the li-ving.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 I believed, even when I said,<\/span>\u00a0“I have been brought ve-ry<\/span> low.” *<\/span>
\n In my distress I said, “No one can<\/span> be trust-ed.”<\/span><\/p>\n

10 How shall I repay the<\/span> LORD *<\/span>
\n for all the good things she has done<\/span> for me?<\/span><\/p>\n

11 I will lift up the cup of sal<\/span>-va-tion *<\/span>
\n and call upon the Name of<\/span> the LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 I will fulfill my vows to the<\/span> LORD *<\/span>
\n in the presence of all<\/span> her peo-ple.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 Precious in the sight of the<\/span> LORD *<\/span>
\n is the death of<\/span> her ser-vants.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 O LORD, I am your<\/span> ser-vant; *<\/span>
\n I am your servant and the child of your handmaid;<\/span>\u00a0you have freed me from<\/span> my bonds.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 I will offer you the sacrifice of thanks<\/span>-giv-ing *<\/span>
\n and call upon the Name of<\/span> the LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 I will fulfill my vows to the<\/span> LORD *<\/span>
\n in the presence of all<\/span> her peo-ple,<\/span><\/p>\n
