Psalm 104\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Benedic, anima mea<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 Bless the LORD, O<\/span> my soul<\/u><\/span>; *<\/span>
\n O LORD my God, how excellent is your greatness!<\/span>\u00a0you are clothed with majes-ty<\/span> and splen-dor.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 You wrap yourself with light as with a<\/span> cloak *<\/span>
\n and spread out the heavens like<\/span> a curt-ain.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 You lay the beams of your chambers in the waters a<\/span>-bove; *<\/span>
\n you make the clouds your chariot;<\/span>\u00a0you ride on the wings of<\/span> the wind.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 You make the winds your<\/span> mes-sengers *<\/span>
\n and flames of fire<\/span> your ser-vants.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 You have set the earth upon its foun<\/span>-da-tions, *<\/span>
\n so that it never shall move at an<\/span>-y time.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 You covered it with the Deep as with a<\/span> man-tle; *<\/span>
\n the waters stood higher than<\/span> the moun-tains.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 At your rebuke they<\/span> fled; *<\/span>
\n at the voice of your thunder they has-tened<\/span> a-way.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 They went up into the hills and down to the valleys be<\/span>-neath, *<\/span>
\n to the places you had appoin-ted<\/span> for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 You set the limits that they should not<\/span> pass; *<\/span>
\n they shall not again co-ver<\/span> the earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 You send the springs into the<\/span> val-leys; *<\/span>
\n they flow be-tween<\/span> the mount-ains.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 All the beasts of the field drink their fill from<\/span> them, *<\/span>
\n and the wild asses quench<\/span> their thirst.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 Beside them the birds of the air make their<\/span> nests *<\/span>
\n and sing a-mong<\/span> the bran-ches.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 You water the mountains from your dwelling on<\/span> high; *<\/span>
\n the earth is fully satisfied by the fruit of<\/span> your works.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 You make grass grow for flocks and<\/span> herds *<\/span>
\n and plants to serve hu<\/span>-man-kind;<\/span><\/p>\n

15 That they may bring forth food from the<\/span> earth, *<\/span>
\n and wine to glad-den<\/span> our hearts,<\/span><\/p>\n

16 Oil to make a cheer-ful<\/span> coun-tenance, *<\/span>
\n and bread to streng-then<\/span> the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 The trees of the LORD are full of<\/span> sap, *<\/span>
\n the cedars of Lebanon which<\/span>\u00a0she plant-ed,<\/span><\/p>\n

18 In which the birds build their<\/span> nests, *<\/span>
\n and in whose tops the stork makes<\/span> her dwel-ling.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 The high hills are a refuge for the moun-tain<\/span> goats, *<\/span>
\n and the stony cliffs for the<\/span><\/span> rock\u00a0bad-gers.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 You appointed the moon to mark the<\/span> sea-sons, *<\/span>
\n and the sun knows the time of<\/span> its set-ting.<\/span><\/p>\n

21 You make darkness that it may be<\/span> night, *<\/span>
\n in which all the beasts of the for<\/span>-est prowl.<\/span><\/p>\n

22 The lions roar after their<\/span> prey *<\/span>
\n and seek their food<\/span> from God.<\/span><\/p>\n

23 The sun rises, and they slip a<\/span>-way *<\/span>
\n and lay themselves down in<\/span>\u00a0their dens.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 Woman\u00a0goes forth to her<\/span>\u00a0work *<\/span>
\n and to her labor un-til<\/span> the eve-ning.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 O LORD, how manifold are your<\/span> works! *<\/span>
\n in wisdom you have made them all;<\/span>\u00a0the earth is full of<\/span> your crea-tures.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 Yonder is the great and wide sea with its living things too\u00a0many\u00a0to<\/span>\u00a0num-ber, *<\/span>
\n creatures both small<\/span> and great.<\/span><\/p>\n

27 There move the ships, and there is that Le<\/span>-vi-athan, *<\/span>
\n which you have made for<\/span> the sport\u00a0of it<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

28 All of them look to<\/span> you *<\/span>
\n to give them their food in<\/span> due sea-son.<\/span><\/p>\n

29 You give it to them; they<\/span> ga-ther it<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n you open your hand, and they are filled with<\/span> good things.<\/span><\/p>\n

30 You hide your face, and they are<\/span> ter-rified; *<\/span>
\n you take away their breath, and they die and return to<\/span> their dust.<\/span><\/p>\n

31 You send forth your Spirit, and they are cre<\/span>-a-ted; *<\/span>
\n and so you renew the face of<\/span> the earth.<\/span><\/p>\n

32 May the glory of the LORD endure for<\/span> ev-er; *<\/span>
\n may the LORD rejoice in all<\/span> her works.<\/span><\/p>\n

33 She looks at the earth and it<\/span> trem-bles; *<\/span>
\nshe touches the mountains and<\/span> they smoke.<\/span><\/p>\n

34 I will sing to the LORD as long as I<\/span> live; *<\/span>
\n I will praise my God while I have<\/span> my be-ing.<\/span><\/p>\n

35 May these words of mine<\/span> please her; *<\/span>
\n I will rejoice in<\/span> the LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

36 Let sinners be consumed out of\u00a0the<\/span> earth, *<\/span>
\n and the wicked be<\/span> no more.<\/span><\/p>\n
