Psalm 135<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Laudate nomen<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 Hallelujah! Praise the Name of the<\/span> LORD; *<\/span>
\n give praise, you servants of the<\/span> LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 You who stand in the house of the<\/span> LORD, *<\/span>
\n in the courts of the house of our<\/span> God.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is<\/span> good; *<\/span>
\n sing praises to her Name, for it is<\/span> love-ly.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob for her<\/span>-self *<\/span>
\n and Israel for her own pos<\/span>-ses-sion.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

5 For I know that the LORD is<\/span> great, *<\/span>
\n and that our Lord is above all<\/span> gods.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 The LORD does whatever pleases her,<\/span>\u00a0in heaven and on<\/span> earth, *<\/span>
\n in the seas and all the<\/span> deeps.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 She brings up rain clouds from the ends of the<\/span> earth; *<\/span>
\nshe sends out lightning with the rain,<\/span>\u00a0and brings the winds out of her<\/span>\u00a0store-house.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 It was she who struck down the first\u00a0born\u00a0of<\/span> E-gypt, *<\/span>
\n the firstborn both of humankind and<\/span> beast.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 She sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O<\/span> E-gypt, *<\/span>
\n against Pharaoh and all his<\/span> ser-vants.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 She overthrew man-y<\/span> na-tions *<\/span>
\n and put mighty kings to<\/span> death:<\/span><\/p>\n

11 Sihon, king of the Amorites,<\/span>\u00a0and Og, the king of<\/span> Bas-han, *<\/span>
\n and all the kingdoms of<\/span> Ca-naan.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 She gave their land to be an in<\/span>-her-itance, *<\/span>
\n an inheritance for Israel her<\/span>\u00a0peo-ple.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 O LORD, your Name is e-ver<\/span>-last-ing; *<\/span>
\n your renown, O LORD, endures from age to<\/span> age.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 For the LORD gives her peo-ple<\/span> jus-tice *<\/span>
\n and shows compassion to her<\/span>\u00a0ser-vants.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 The idols of the heathen are silver and<\/span> gold, *<\/span>
\n the work of hu-man<\/span> hands.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 They have mouths, but they can-not<\/span> speak; *<\/span>
\n eyes have they, but they can-not<\/span> see.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 They have ears, but they can-not<\/span> hear; *<\/span>
\n neither is there any breath in their<\/span> mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

18 Those who make them are<\/span> like them, *<\/span>
\n and so are all who put their trust in<\/span> them.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 Bless the LORD, O house of<\/span> Is-rael; *<\/span>
\n O house of Aaron, bless the<\/span> LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 Bless the LORD, O house of<\/span> Le-vi; *<\/span>
\n you who fear the LORD, bless the<\/span> LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

21 Blessed be the LORD out of<\/span> Zi-on, *<\/span>
\n who dwells in Jerusalem. Hal-le<\/span>-lu-jah!<\/span><\/p>\n
