Psalm 109<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Deus, laudem<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 Hold not your tongue, O God of my praise<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n for the mouth of the wicked, the mouth of the deceitful,<\/span>\u00a0is o-pened<\/span> a-gainst me.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 They speak to me with a lying tongue<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n they encompass me with hateful words<\/span>\u00a0and fight against me with-out<\/span> a cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 Despite my love, they ac-cuse<\/span> me; *<\/span>
\n but as for me, I pray<\/span> for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 They repay evil for good<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n and hatred for<\/span> my love.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 But you, O Lord my God,<\/span>\u00a0oh, deal with me according \u00a0to your Name<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n for your tender mercy’s sake<\/span>, de-li-ver me<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

21 For I am poor and need<\/span>-y, *<\/span>
\n and my heart is wound-ed<\/span> with-in me.<\/span><\/p>\n

22 I have faded away like a shadow when it leng<\/span>-thens; *<\/span>
\n I am shaken off like<\/span> a lo-cust.<\/span><\/p>\n

23 My knees are weak through fast<\/span>-ing, *<\/span>
\n and my flesh is was-ted<\/span> and gaunt.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 I have become a re-proach<\/span> to them<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n they see and shake<\/span> their heads.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 Help me, O LORD my God<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n save me for your mer<\/span>-cy’s sake.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 Let them know that this is your hand<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n that you, O LORD<\/span>, have done it.<\/span><\/p>\n

27 They may curse, but you will bless<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n let those who rise up against me be put to shame,<\/span>\u00a0and your servant will<\/span> re-joice.<\/span><\/p>\n

28 Let my accusers be clothed with dis-grace<\/span> *<\/span>
\n and wrap themselves in their shame as in<\/span> a cloak.<\/span><\/p>\n

29 I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n in the midst of the multitude will<\/span> I praise her;<\/span><\/p>\n

30 Because she stands at the right hand of the need<\/span>-y, *<\/span>
\n to save her life from those who would<\/span> con-demn her.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spir<\/span>-it: *<\/span>
\nas it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ev<\/span>-er. A-men.<\/span><\/p>\n
