Psalm 94<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Deus ultio<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 O LORD God of<\/span> ven-geance, *<\/span>
\n O God of ven-geance<\/span>, show yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Rise up, O Judge of the<\/span> world; *<\/span>
\n give the arrogant their just de<\/span>-serts.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 How long shall the wicked, O<\/span> LORD, *<\/span>
\n how long shall the wic-ked<\/span> tri-umph?<\/span><\/p>\n

4 They bluster in their<\/span> in-solence; *<\/span>
\n all evildoers are full of<\/span> boast-ing.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

5 They crush your people, O<\/span> LORD, *<\/span>
\n and afflict your cho-sen<\/span> na-tion.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 They murder the widow and the<\/span> stran-ger *<\/span>
\n and put the orphans to<\/span> death.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 Yet they say, “The LORD does not<\/span> see, *<\/span>
\n the God of Jacob takes no<\/span> no-tice.”<\/span><\/p>\n

8 Consider well, you dullards among the<\/span> peo-ple; *<\/span>
\n when will you fools un-der<\/span>-stand?<\/span><\/p>\n

9 She that planted the ear, does she not<\/span> hear? *<\/span>
\nshe that formed the eye, does she<\/span> not see?<\/span><\/p>\n

10 She who admonishes the nations, will she not<\/span> pun-ish? *<\/span>
\nshe who teaches all the world, has she no<\/span> know-ledge?<\/span><\/p>\n

11 The LORD knows our hu-man<\/span> thoughts; *<\/span>
\n how like a puff of wind they<\/span> are.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 Happy are they whom you instruct, O<\/span> Lord! *<\/span>
\n whom you teach out of your<\/span> law;<\/span><\/p>\n

13 To give them rest in e-vil<\/span> days, *<\/span>
\n until a pit is dug for the<\/span> wic-ked.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 For the LORD will not abandon her<\/span>\u00a0peo-ple, *<\/span>
\n nor will she forsake her<\/span>\u00a0own.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 For judgment will again be<\/span> just, *<\/span>
\n and all the true of heart will<\/span> fol-low it<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 Who rose up for me against the<\/span> wic-ked? *<\/span>
\n who took my part against the e-vil<\/span>-do-ers?<\/span><\/p>\n

17 If the LORD had not come to my<\/span> help, *<\/span>
\n I should soon have dwelt in the land of<\/span> si-lence.<\/span><\/p>\n

18 As often as I said, “My foot has<\/span> slipped,” *<\/span>
\n your love, O LORD, up<\/span>-held me.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 When many cares fill my<\/span> mind, *<\/span>
\n your consolations cheer my<\/span> soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 Can a corrupt tribunal have any part with<\/span> you, *<\/span>
\n one which frames evil in-to<\/span> law?<\/span><\/p>\n

21 They conspire against the life of the<\/span> just *<\/span>
\n and condemn the innocent to<\/span> death.<\/span><\/p>\n

22 But the LORD has become my<\/span> strong-hold, *<\/span>
\n and my God the rock of my<\/span> trust.<\/span><\/p>\n

23 She will turn their wickedness back upon them<\/span>\u00a0and destroy them in their own<\/span> ma-lice; *<\/span>
\n the LORD our God will des<\/span>-troy them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Ho-ly<\/span> Spir-it: *<\/span>
\nas it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. A<\/span>-men.<\/span><\/p>\n
