1 O LORD, my God,\u00a0my Sa<\/span>-vior, *
\nby day and night I cry to<\/span> you.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Let my prayer enter into your pres<\/span>-ence; *
\nincline your ear to my la-men<\/span>-ta-tion.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 For I am full of trou<\/span>-ble; *
\nmy life is at the brink of the<\/span> grave.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 I am counted among those who go down to the Pit<\/span>; *
\nI have become like one who has no<\/span> strength;<\/span><\/p>\n

5 Lost among the dead<\/span>, *

11 Do you work wonders for the dead<\/span>? *
\nwill those who have died stand up and give you<\/span> thanks?<\/span><\/p>\n

12 Will your loving-kindness be declared in the grave<\/span>? *
\nyour faithfulness in the land of des<\/span>-truc-tion?<\/span><\/p>\n

13 Will your wonders be known in the dark<\/span>? *

15 LORD, why have you re-ject<\/span>–ed me<\/span>? *
\nwhy have you hidden your<\/span> face from<\/span> me<\/span>?<\/span><\/p>\n

16 Ever since my youth,\u00a0I have been wretched and at the point of death<\/span>; *
\nI have borne your terrors with a trou-bled<\/span> mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 Your blazing anger has swept o<\/span>–ver me<\/span>; *
\nyour terrors have des<\/span>-troyed me;<\/span><\/p>\n

18 They surround me all day long like a flood<\/span>; *

19 My friend and my neighbor you have put a-way<\/span> from me<\/span>, *
\nand darkness is my only com<\/span>-pan-ion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spir<\/span>-it *
\nas it was in the beginning, is now and will be for ever. A<\/span>-men.<\/span><\/p>\n
