Psalm 68:1-20,24-36<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Exsurgat Deus<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 Let God arise, and let her enemies be scat<\/span>-tered; *<\/span>
\n let those who hate her flee be<\/span>-fore her.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Let them vanish like smoke when the wind drives it a-way<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n as the wax melts at the fire,<\/span>\u00a0so let the wicked perish at the presence of<\/span> God.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 But let the righteous be glad and rejoice before God<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n let them also be merry and<\/span> joy-ful.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 Sing to God, sing praises to her Name;<\/span>\u00a0exalt her who rides upon the hea<\/span>-vens; *<\/span>
\n YAHWEH is her Name, rejoice be<\/span>-fore her!<\/span><\/p>\n

5 Mother of orphans, defender of wi<\/span>-dows, *<\/span>
\n God in her holy ha-bi<\/span>-ta-tion!<\/span><\/p>\n

6 God gives the solitary a home<\/span>\u00a0and brings forth prisoners into free<\/span>-dom; *<\/span>
\n but the rebels shall live in dry<\/span> pla-ces.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 O God, when you went forth before your peo<\/span>-ple, *<\/span>
\n when you marched through the<\/span> wil-derness,<\/span><\/p>\n

8 The earth shook, and the skies poured down rain,<\/span>\u00a0at the presence of God, the God of Si<\/span>-nai, *<\/span>
\n at the presence of God, the God of<\/span> Is-rael.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 You sent a gracious rain, O God, upon your in-her<\/span>-itance; *<\/span>
\n you refreshed the land when it was<\/span> wea-ry.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 Your people found their home<\/span> in it<\/span><\/span>; *<\/span>
\n in your goodness, O God,<\/span>\u00a0you have made provision for the<\/span> poor.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 The Lord gave the word<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n great was the company of women who bore the<\/span> tid-ings:<\/span><\/p>\n

12 “Kings with their armies are fleeing a-way<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n the women at home are dividing the<\/span> spoils.”<\/span><\/p>\n

13 Though you lingered among the sheep<\/span>-folds, *<\/span>
\n you shall be like a dove whose wings are covered with silver,<\/span>\u00a0whose feathers are like green<\/span> gold.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 When the Almighty scattered kings<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n it was like snow falling in<\/span> Zal-mon.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 O mighty mountain, O hill of Bas<\/span>-han! *<\/span>
\n O rugged mountain, O hill of<\/span> Bas-han!<\/span><\/p>\n

16 Why do you look with envy,\u00a0O rugged mountain,<\/span>\u00a0at the hill which God chose for her\u00a0rest<\/span>–ing place<\/span>? *<\/span>
\n truly, the LORD will dwell there for<\/span> ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand,<\/span>\u00a0even thousands of thou<\/span>-sands; *<\/span>
\n the Lord comes in holiness from<\/span> Si-nai.<\/span><\/p>\n

18 You have gone up on high and led captivity captive;<\/span>\u00a0you have received gifts even from your en<\/span>-emies, *<\/span>
\n that the LORD God might dwell a<\/span>-mong them.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 Blessed be the Lord day by day<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n the God of our salvation, who bears our<\/span> bur-dens.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 She is our God, the God of our sal-va<\/span>-tion; *
\nGod is the LORD, by whom we\u00a0escape<\/span> death.<\/span><\/p>\n

24 They see your procession, O God<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n your procession into the sanctuary, my God and my<\/span> King.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 The singers go before, musicians follow af<\/span>-ter, *<\/span>
\n in the midst of maidens playing upon the<\/span> hand-drums.<\/span><\/p>\n

26 Bless God in the congre-ga<\/span>-tion; *<\/span>
\n bless the LORD, you that are of the fountain of<\/span> Is-rael.<\/span><\/p>\n

27 There is Benjamin, least of the tribes, at the head;<\/span>\u00a0the princes of Judah in a com<\/span>-pany; *<\/span>
\n and the princes of Zebulon and<\/span> Naph-tali.<\/span><\/p>\n

28 Send forth your strength, O God<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n establish, O God, what you have<\/span> wrought for us<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

29 Kings shall bring gifts<\/span> to you<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n for your temple’s sake at Je<\/span>-ru-salem.<\/span><\/p>\n

30 Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds<\/span>, *<\/span>
\n and the peoples, a herd of wild bulls with its<\/span> calves.<\/span><\/p>\n

31 Trample down those who lust after sil<\/span>-ver; *<\/span>
\n scatter the peoples that delight in<\/span> war.<\/span><\/p>\n

32 Let tribute be brought out of E<\/span>-gypt; *<\/span>
\n let Ethiopia stretch out her hands to<\/span> God.<\/span><\/p>\n

33 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n sing praises to the<\/span> Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

34 She rides in the heavens, the ancient hea<\/span>-vens; *<\/span>
\nshe sends forth her voice, her migh-ty<\/span> voice.<\/span><\/p>\n

35 Ascribe power to God<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n her majesty is over Israel;<\/span>\u00a0her strength is in the<\/span> skies.<\/span><\/p>\n

36 How wonderful is God in her holy pla<\/span>-ces! *<\/span>
