Psalm 9<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Confitebor tibi<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1 I will give thanks to you, O LORD, with my whole<\/span><\/span> heart;<\/span> *<\/span>
\n I will tell of all your mar<\/span>-velous works.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 I will be glad and re<\/span>-joice in you<\/span>; *<\/span>
\n I will sing to your Name, O<\/span> Most High.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 When my enemies are dri-ven<\/span> back, *<\/span>
\n they will stumble and perish at<\/span> your pre-sence.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 For you have maintained my right and my<\/span> cause; *<\/span>
\n you sit upon your throne judg<\/span>-ing right.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

5 You have rebuked the ungodly and destroyed the<\/span> wic-ked; *<\/span>
\n you have blotted out their name for e-v<\/span>er<\/span> and ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 As for the enemy, they are finished, in perpe-tual<\/span> ru-in, *<\/span>
\n their cities plowed under,\u00a0the memory of<\/span> them per-ished;<\/span><\/p>\n

7 But the LORD is enthroned for<\/span> ev-er; *<\/span>
\n she has set up her\u00a0throne<\/span> for judg-ment.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 It is she who rules the world with<\/span> right-eousness; *<\/span>
\n she judges the peo-ples<\/span> with e-quity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

9 The LORD will be a refuge for the op<\/span>-pressed, *<\/span>
\n a refuge in time<\/span> of trou-ble.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 Those who know your Name will put their trust in<\/span> you, *<\/span>
\n for you never forsake those who seek<\/span> you, O LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 Sing praise to the LORD who dwells in<\/span> Zi-on; *<\/span>
\n proclaim to the peoples the things she<\/span> has done.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 The Avenger of blood will remem-ber<\/span> them; *<\/span>
\n she will not forget the cry of the<\/span> af-flic-ted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

13 Have pity on me,<\/span> O<\/span> LORD; *<\/span>
\n see the misery I suffer from those who hate me,\u00a0O you who lift me up from the gate<\/span> of death;<\/span><\/p>\n

14 So that I may tell of all your praises\u00a0and rejoice in your sal<\/span>-va-tion *<\/span>
\n in the gates of the city<\/span> of Zi-on.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 The ungodly have fallen into the pit they<\/span> dug, *<\/span>
\n and in the snare they set is their own<\/span> foot caught.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 The LORD is known by her acts\u00a0of<\/span> jus-tice; *<\/span>
\n the wicked are trapped in the works of their<\/span> own hands.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Chant<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

17 The wicked shall be given over to the<\/span> grave, *<\/span>
\n and also all the people that<\/span> for<\/span>-get God.<\/span><\/p>\n

18 For the needy shall not always be for<\/span>-got-ten, *<\/span>
\n and the hope of the poor shall not pe-rish<\/span> for ev-er.<\/span><\/p>\n

19 Rise up, O LORD,\u00a0let not the ungodly have the up-per<\/span> hand; *<\/span>
\n let them be judged<\/span> be-fore you.<\/span><\/p>\n

20 Put fear upon them, O<\/span> LORD; *<\/span>
\n let the ungodly know they are<\/span> but mor-tal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Ho-ly<\/span> Spir-it: *<\/span>
